The Hirsch ScramblePad keypad/reader provides a high security approach to access, because the credential (ID code or PIN number) cannot be accidentally shared with, or stolen by onlookers.  Each numeral is randomly scrambled to a new position each time the START button is pressed, so a bystander cannot see the code, learn the pattern, nor identify telltale wear marks on certain keys.  Features: Scrambling Digits, On-board microprocessor, viewing restrictors, optional proximity reader, encrypted communication, audible feedback.

The AP-600/700 reader, with its RS-485 interface, is typically used as a slave reader with Apollo AAN-32/100 master controllers or as an OEM reader. Up to 96 readers can be multi-dropped from the AAN-100 controller. RS-485 reader systems are significantly more cost effective because they do not require installation and wiring of any door controllers (reader interfaces) or their associated power supplies and enclosures. Since all door wiring is short and terminates at the reader, the system is more reliable and makes installation and maintenance easier.

The PC Series reader is activated via the detection of a miPASS card and/or fingerprint. A card holder's pre-encoded data is stored in the memory chip of a miPASS card, such as a Password/PIN or fingerprint template to authenticate the card holder. Upon validation an encrypted password is sent to the PC for processing by an application with flexible user options, such as securing a drive or folder, creating a secure internet link, logging off or shutting down a PC.
