Having a very silm faceplate this dropbolt is designed to be installed in any type of door frame and can be converted from Power to Lock (PTL) to Power to Open (PTO).  Smart electronic functions inside this dropbolt include: 8 x lock and unlock attempts, 8 second unlock delay, automatic relock after 8 seconds, power reduction circuitry to limit the holding current, and a one time thermal fuse cut-out in case of solenoid overheating.  The faceplate and strike plate have been finished in stainless steel.

Alpro Hardware has announced the release of the new Alpro EL 900 series electric strike.  Independently tested to 500,000 cycles, the compact size (35mm depth) combined with the overall quality of the strike along with a competitive price, makes this mid range strike a package difficult to resist. Available in 12 V and 24 V DC models both fail safe and fail secure, the Alpro EL 900 boasts an innovative change over of function from fail safe to fail secure with the removal of just one small screw.  An additional "Park hole" is provided for safe storage of the screw enabling the function to be changed as required. PCSC ES250 electric lock allows the door to be opened without retracting the latchbolt. This occurs by the release of the electric strike lip (sometimes called a keeper or gate). When the door closes the beveled latchbolt rides over the lip and falls into the strike pocket. The Alpro Hardware Division of IEC Limited has announced the release of the new Alpro EB501 mini solenoid bolt. This innovative product allows for both remote access and exit control of most timber, metal and UPVC doors. It is also suitable for sliding or swing, single or double action operations. It can be fitted in the frame or in the door and comes complete with plug in LED bolt indicator as standard. It is also suitable for narrow profile joinery cabinets, lockers and showcases. Construction of the bolt is from stainless steel, complete with a 12mm diameter bolt affecting a 12mm throw. A strike plate completes the secure locking function. The EB501 is further enhanced by a stainless steel dress plate to cover the brushed aluminium faceplate. The bolt has a continuously rated solenoid, fully protected against transients and reverse polarity.  Monitoring is by door position switch and bolt position indicator. The auto relock function can be set for 0, 3, 6 or 9 seconds. The bolt carries the requisite CE approval.
