The miPASS KeyFob has an imbedded chip which is available in 1Kbytes of EEPROM.  The keytag has a write endurance of 100,000 cycles.  The KeyTag can support mulitple applications on the chip, each with its own dedicated keys and memory area.  The miPASS KeyFob is a practical substiute for the smart card as it allows you to use the Mifare technology without having to carry a card.

Paxton Access has launched a new keycard for use with its hands free access control solution.  The new keycard offers a maximum range of up to 50m. The Insight Intelligent 4 Door Access module provides an interface for up to 4 Doors using 4 card readers or, if used in conjunction with the Intelligent Access module Reader Expander board up to 4 Door with Card In / Card Out operation using 8 card readers. Access control functions continue in the event of LAN failure or damage to the control module. Events are recorded to review within the modeule whilst offline.
