Hikvision TalkVu AI-powered video intercom series with 4 MP imaging

Hikvision has launched its new TalkVu Video Intercom series, combining video security, communication, and connected environment management in a unified solution.

Developed around the brand vision “Talk Clear, View Smart”, the TalkVu series integrates 4 MP imaging, AI-powered audio optimisation, and intuitive controls to support clear monitoring, distortion-free conversations, and seamless management of connected systems.

Clear imaging in varying lighting conditions

The TalkVu series features a 4 MP outdoor camera and 1080p indoor displays for detailed monitoring of doorstep activities day and night.

Its 150°/180° ultra-wide lens is designed to minimise blind spots, while imaging algorithms automatically adjust to bright sunlight and low-light conditions. Hikvision states that AI-ISP technology enhances noise reduction, colour accuracy, and dynamic range for clearer visual output.

AI-powered communication and security

TalkVu’s dual-microphone array uses intelligent noise reduction and directional sound pickup technology to focus on human voices while filtering out wind, traffic, and background noise. High-output speakers support clear communication with visitors and delivery personnel.

The system also supports multiple access control methods including facial recognition, access cards, PIN codes, Bluetooth, QR codes, and mobile app authorisation.

Intelligent video analytics provide event detection features such as fall detection, line crossing, and region intrusion alerts, while abnormal sound detection can identify screaming, glass breaking, and other unusual sounds.

Connected environment management

The TalkVu indoor station connects video security, alarms, intercoms, elevator controls, lighting, and climate systems through a central interface.

Users can switch between ‘At Home’ and ‘Away’ modes through the Hik-Connect app, while voice commands support functions such as adjusting lighting, temperature, and blinds.
