The lock case deadlocking is controlled by a snib The snib has three positions, but the top two are the same When the snib is in one of the top two positions, the door will automatically deadlock when closed It can then be opened by a key or by the thumbturn When the snib is in the lowest position, the latchbolt is locked inside the lock case The lock can be fitted with a thumbturn, a one sided cylinder and/or a double sided cylinder
