ACRE’s Bluetooth Module
Product Profile
ACRE’s latest Bluetooth addition complements the company’s reader range by allowing any ACRE OSDP or Wiegand VR series reader (VR10S-MF, VR40S-MF, VR20M-MF, VR50M-MF) to be converted into a Bluetooth reader. Additionally, it supports credentials issued via a VCredential portal (VCredential.com).
Why this matters?
The ability to retrofit readers to Bluetooth capabilities in the field is a significant customer-first benefit. Installers can now make simple upgrades in the field with an easy-to-install, purpose-made Bluetooth Module that also fits any standard EMEA backbox.
Essentially, this means that customers do not need to buy new Bluetooth readers outright. They can instead upgrade their existing OSDP or Wiegand VR series readers in the field with this new Bluetooth Module. This provides excellent flexibility and cost-saving measures for the installer.
Key Benefit:
The Bluetooth Module from ACRE is secure and offers a flexible identification solution bringing ACRE’s VCredential to Android™ and iOS® smartphones. This new Bluetooth Module complements readers for existing VCredential and ACTpro systems.
Why convert to Bluetooth?
Vanderbilt’s Bluetooth readers reduce the total cost of ownership by extending the life of the existing system controller and hardware while allowing a smooth migration to mobile credentials. They are easy to manage as creating, deploying, and controlling access rights can be carried out by the administrator directly in VCredential.
