The Security Industry Association (SIA) has released the 2026 revision of the SIA DC-09 standard—the trusted standard for secure IP-based communication between intrusion systems and monitoring centers.
SIA DC-09 is an American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-approved standard for open and interoperable IP alarm transmission. The standard enables a secure, supervised connection between alarm systems and monitoring centre receivers. SIA DC-09 has become the globally recognised standard adopted by the manufacturers of intrusion panels and alarm communication devices.
