Connexion2 is utilising ISC West as a platform to engage with existing and new potential partners and end users across North America
Connexion2 will be showcasing its full product range at ISC West 2012 in Booth 16138 from March 28 to 30

UK lone worker specialists, Connexion2, the developer of the award winning Identicom lone worker device, will be showcasing its full product range at ISC West 2012 in Booth 16138 from March 28 to 30. Identicom looks like an ordinary identity cardholder but is actually a discreet communications device that protects lone workers in the face of verbal abuse, workplace violence or if ‘man-down' through a user suffering a slip, trip or fall. Identicom is easy to wear, always within reach, and can be used discreetly and safely to raise the alarm given its unique form-factor.

Connexion2 is now an international business with a range of authorised partners throughout the world. With more employees working alone and increasingly numbers of staff being exposed to both environmental and workplace violence, an ever growing number of countries are developing health and safety legislation and enforcing employers to meet their duty of care. Lone worker protection has become a major concern for industries and services globally. This has led to fast growth in the sale of lone worker products, especially the UK's market leading lone worker device, Identicom. To help cater for this expansion, Connexion2 is utilising the exhibition as a platform to actively engage with existing and new potential partners and end users across North America.

Lone worker risk and workplace violence is not exclusive to the UK. In the USA, the Bureau of Labor Statistics recorded that in the last 15 years, homicides resulting from workplace violence have ranked among the top four causes of occupational fatalities in American workplaces. Couple this with over 3,000 deaths from workplace homicide between 2006 and 2010, and an average of more than 15,000 non-fatal workplace injury cases reported during this time. Implementing proper measures can help organisations to reduce risk to staff and financial risk to their businesses.

As well as showcasing its range of products, Connexion2's personnel will be on hand to advise visitors on how to assess their business risk with regard to lone working and discuss the implications of current legislation. In addition, Connexion2 will be pleased to arrange meetings with potential partners on developing their lone worker business.

Connexion2's Identicom is currently available across several product variants with a mixture of functionality available across the range with ‘Man Down', GPS and the ability to link to the Connexion2's Mobile Workforce Management Platform as optional additions. Connexion2 also plan to launch a new version of Identicom in 2012.

Three times winner of the UK's Security Excellence Awards as well as other prestigious awards, Identicom is equipped with mobile phone (GSM & GPS) technology. Identicom not only enables the wearer to raise an alarm if threatened, but also allows a monitoring centre to listen to the audio evidence and record what is happening for future use, whatever the distance, and summon help in an emergency.
