Octavian Security's mine of information and expertise has helped the company to land a new contract that will see its personnel protecting the headquarters of the Coal Authority.

The Authority, with its Headquarters in Berry Hill, Mansfield, is responsible for the licensing of coal mining operations in Britain and dealing with the historic legacy of past coal mining.

Octavian Security, whose high standards have established it as an industry leader since the company's launch in 2003, will provide security at the Nottinghamshire facility during evenings and weekends.

Specific tasks Octavian is to undertake include patrolling the site, monitoring signing-in procedures, and ensuring that security measures and checks are adhered to at both the entrances and exits of the premises.

The award-winning Sukhi Ghuman, CEO of the Octavian Group, commented: "The Coal Authority carries out an essential task and it is vital that the documents and information it holds are secure.  Octavian Security is delighted to have been contracted to make sure that security is of a high standard."

"This project also highlights how local, regional and national organisations can benefit from the expertise that has proved so invaluable to companies all over the world."

Octavian carries out a number of projects for organisations within the Nottingham area, including Nottingham City Council and East Midlands Development Agency.
