Increasingly, customers see access control and security systems as integral to their premises. As a result, they expect the same attention to detail and design principles they find in other building products, in both the commercial and the residential sector. The industry needs better design thinking to meet these changing demands.
‘Product design’ of course has always encompassed more than aesthetics. An access solution’s performance and any potential ROI for adopters will be impacted by product design decisions made during the earliest stages of planning and development.
