KPMG India takes no risk in choosing the CEM AC2000 security management solution
KPMG employs a cost-effective yet sophisticated access control solution, the CEM AC2000 Lite

CEM Systems recently announced that financial company KPMG has chosen the CEM AC2000 Lite security management system to secure three of its offices in India.  The IP-based CEM AC2000 access control solution will be installed by Tyco India.

KPMG is one of the leading providers of risk, financial, and business advisory solutions and provides internal audits, corporate governance and tax and regulatory services.  Established throughout India in 1993, KPMG operates from offices in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.  With a client base of over 2000 Indian companies, the firm has a strong presence in the Indian financial services sector.

To centrally secure KPMG offices in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Gurgaon, KPMG required a cost-effective, yet sophisticated access control solution.  The CEM AC2000 Lite system met these requirements as it offered KPMG an IP-based access control system with feature rich software modules.

"The CEM AC2000 Lite system also offered KPMG a powerful and fully loaded set of software applications that are not normally available to small to medium enterprise clients," said Sudipto Roy, Manager for design and engineering, security, Tyco India.  "In addition to access control functionality, KPMG India favoured the in-built AC2000 Time and Attendance module and the ability to issue professional ID badges to staff in each of the remote India offices using the AC2000 Visual Imaging & Pass Production (VIPPS) module."

The central component of the AC2000 Lite system is comprised of a single AC2000 Lite IP System Controller.  An intelligent and networked device for alarm monitoring and door entry/exit control, the AC2000 Lite IP System Controller is configured via a web browser and resides on the network to connect readers via TCP/IP.  This eliminates the costly

requirement of a dedicated server within the security system design while enabling remote sites to be secured and managed.  To secure doors at the remote KPMG offices, the client opted to use CEM eDCM 300 intelligent two-door IP controllers to interface with third party proximity readers.

"The contract to secure KPMG India offices further reflects CEM's growing success in the emerging Indian market," said Andrew Fulton, Business Development Director for CEM products.

Incorporating a comprehensive suite of software applications as standard on one CD, additional AC2000 software features include central graphical alarm management, visitor reporting, vehicles management, real time cardholder monitoring, advanced system reporting and much more.

Having just celebrated 15 years in India, KPMG's investment in security at the main offices in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Gurgaon will protect staff, visitors and confidential information.
