Brazil's Superior Electoral Court (TSE) selected RealScan-D live scanner for nationwide biometric voter registration
Suprema Inc., a leading provider of biometric technology, announced recently that Brazil's Superior Electoral Court (TSE) selected its RealScan-D live scanner for nationwide biometric voter registration.

The RealScan-D live scanner is a portable, USB-powered device hence is suitable for bundling with mobile jump-kit when used at the voter registration and voting sites. With its proven reliability of FBI certification (IQS appendix F) and high-speed image capturing, the device has been selected by TSE under severe competition with other vendors.

The objective of TSE Voter's Biometric Identification programme is to protect its citizen's voting rights by preventing any possible frauds hence in turn, further develop the nations' democracy as well as technological competency in public ID management. According to TSE, the Brazilian government aims to implement biometric voting system to entire states to enhance its consolidation of citizens' rights.

Suprema also recently won government projects in Slovenia, Japan and Mexico with for criminal and public ID applications.
