IPervoice from Urmet is the residential security system for Image project
Elekta Steel IP digital video door panel communicates with Urmet's Atlantico audio handsets at Image
IPervoice, from specialist security and telecoms manufacturer Urmet Domus, has been the choice of door entry and access control installation for the Image project, a fabulous mixed-use development of one and two bedroom apartments in the heart of Hemel Hempstead by Dandara.

This scheme also features landscaped gardens and a range of shops and office accommodation combining new build and restoration.

The Image Development features a 22-storey tower created by the dramatic transformation of the iconic 20-storey Kodak building with 254 apartments along with five new buildings totalling 455 apartments.

With a choice of one and two-bedroom apartments, many with balconies or terraces and breathtaking views, Image brings the very best of ‘urban living' to Hemel Hempstead.

Beautifully-designed, high-specification living spaces feature stunning contemporary kitchens and stylish bathrooms. And no detail has been overlooked; with a car club, a concierge service and even transport to the station at peak times, Image offers a superb new lifestyle. It's hardly surprising that this new high-profile development is set to become the place to live in Hemel Hempstead.

IPervoice is the first all Cat5e IP based digital door entry system

Image demonstrates just how a large modern multi-occupancy mix tenure development can benefit from the flexibility of the IPervoice network. IPervoice and the IP network allows the phased nature of this type of development to be installed with all the features of the site network including Concierge without the fuss normally associated with changing equipment positions typical on phased installations. IPervoice also accommodates any access strategies with the ease of ‘plug and play' IP devices simply achieving the requirements of large scale and demanding developments such as Image.

For each communal entrance visitors will use the Elekta Steel IP digital video door panel to communicate with Urmet's Atlantico audio handsets fitted within the Social Housing blocks and Signo video monitors selected for each apartment within the Kodak building. Residents will gain entry to various access points within the blocks including the basement car parking areas using IP readers connected to the IPervoice network.

IPervoice is the first all Cat5e IP based digital door entry system specifically designed to simplify the installation of large systems. IPervoice also integrates other related building management services such as concierge, access control, intruder alarm, CCTV and lift control.

Over 6000 apartments have been converted to IPervoice since the launch at IFSEC 2009.
