Paxton Access, the UK market leader in the design and manufacture of electronic access control systems, has teamed up with Secure Yacht Ltd to promote Net2 Marine to the luxury yacht market.  Combining Paxton Access' leading network access control system, Net2, with its new Marine Reader, Net2 Marine is the world's only dedicated marine access control system specifically geared for all marine access control applications.  Paxton Access and Secure Yacht Ltd will officially present Net2 Marine for the first time at the prestigious Superyacht Pavillion at METS in Amsterdam in November 2007.

Adam Stroud, Sales and Marketing Director at Paxton Access, says, "Our new custom designed Marine Readers are aimed at both the superyacht and high end cruise market, where quality and aesthetic requirements are paramount.  We are delighted to have developed this solution in partnership with Secure Yacht whose expertise in this market is unrivalled."

Secure Yacht Ltd is a leading security consultancy and installer to some of the world's largest superyachts.  The company researched the market requirement for a marine specific access control solution after the installation of over forty controlled doors on the Amels masterpiece ‘Lady Anne PB', a 70m yacht in late 2006.  Secure Yacht's Dean La-Vey commented, "It was clear that land based commercial access control systems were inadequate for the marine environment.  Paxton Access rose to the challenge and modified the Net2 system to produce brand new readers of a quality and unique design that simply did not exist before in the superyacht market."

In addition to the new internal and external readers, the Net2 Marine software allows logging on and off of crew, and easy temporary access for visitors, guests, and maintenance personnel.  When combined with the ship's CCTV system, Net2 Marine presents a formidable obstacle for potential intruders.

In addition to superyachts, Secure Yacht Ltd has high hopes for Net2 Marine in the cruise ship and ferry market.
